Front-end Development Internship

We are currently seeking a motivated, hands-on front-end web development intern. You’ll be responsible for building, testing, debugging, and deploying standards compliant code and often integrating the code into open-source content management systems. You’ll be working along side other developers both in-house and remote to create succinct solutions for the interwebs.

You have already:

• created awesome things with HTML, CSS, with maybe a touch of Javascript
• created that awesome website (mentioned above) in a text or code editor
• written a little bit of Javascript using a framework like jQuery ... it’s our favorite
• worked alongside others to take a project from planning to a working website
• purged your Twitter accounts of those terrible tweets you made on New Years Eve

We won’t hold it against you, but it would be awesome if you:

• know what Terminal is and are handy with it when necessary
• have created a theme with an open-source platform like WordPress, Drupal, or maybe even Expression Engine
• know how to write emails that use proper capitalization & punctuation
• have heard of this awesome thing called version control and you’re ready to learn more about it
• know what API, S3, REST, SOAP, PHP, and MySQL are
• hated everything that applications like Dreamweaver stand for
